Healing of Radiation Burns from Breast Cancer Treatment:
In the fall of 2011, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I elected surgery to be followed with 32 radiation treatments. I was fortunate early detection gave me great results. But near the end of my treatment I needed help. In my last full week of radiation the pain had gotten ahead of me, I no longer had the ability to block it. On Wednesday of that week I saw my doctor after that days’ session, I was at the “uncle” point, time for medication. She examined me, saw how swollen and burnt I was and prescribed medication.
